The Free Mulch Giveaway program is available to all residents of the City of Los Angeles. LA Sanitation & Environment (LASAN) is “Closing The Loop” by providing free quality mulch in 9 different locations throughout the City that are open to the public.

MULCH is any type of material that is spread or laid over the surface of the soil as a covering. It is used to retain moisture in the soil, suppress weeds, keep the soil cool, and make the garden bed look more attractive.

LASAN creates high-quality mulch from the green waste collected from homes across the City.

This mulch is available FREE to LA residents!
