Take Back the Turf, Flower to the People’s strategy to transition commercial non-functional turf into a highly biodiverse and water conserving groundcover is hosting another event in Littleton, CO at the Arapahoe County Administration Building in partnership with Arapahoe County and Denver Water. Join us on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 for a free Open House and Stomp ‘N Romp event (RAIN or SHINE). We’ll give you an insider look at the pilot project and you will be able to help stomp out unwanted plants to grow a stronger flowering lawn. Attendees will be able to:

  • Learn more about Take Back the Turf strategy
  • Conduct a quick assessment of the plant/insect biodiversity at the site
  • Actively encourage new plant growth and discourage unwatned plants with a group activity called: Stomp ‘N Romp.

This is one of four “human impact” events scheduled for this site in 2025 to engage and connect humans with the soil microbiology beneath their shoes.
